National Thermal Power Corporation Limited has released a latest recruitment notice to fill up 280 vacancies. The vacancies are available for Graduate Engineers in the various disciplines. Eligible and interested candidates are invited to apply online at the official website ntpccareers.net starting from May 21, 2021. The last date to apply online is June 10, 2021.
As per the latest notice, the 280 vacant posts are available in the disciplines of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering. Selected candidates will be appointed as Engineering Executive Trainee-2021 in the pay scale of Rs 40,000 to Rs 1,40,000 in the E1 grade.
Candidates intending to apply for the NTPC recruitment must read the notification and ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as laid down by the organisation. In terms of age, the maximum eligible age is 27 years as on the last date to apply. This age limit is applicable for candidates belonging to General and EWS categories only. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen category are entitled to receive relaxations on the upper age limit as per government regulations in vogue.
In terms of the educational qualifications, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant trade of Engineering or Technology with 65% or more marks. Those who have obtained the AMIE qualification with 65% or more marks are also eligible to apply for this recruitment. For candidates belonging to special reserved categories, the minimum qualifying marks is 55%.
It may be noted that candidates who are appearing or have appeared in the final year/semester examination of the Graduate Engineering/Technology degree course are also eligible to apply. However, they must obtain the required minimum marks. Candidates can check the official notification for details of the disciplines relevant to available vacancies.
The selection of candidates is to be done on the basis of merit in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam 2021. As per the notice, GATE 2021 score is the only selection criteria apply for this recruitment. Candidates must have the GATE 2021 registration number in order to apply for this NTPC recruitment.
Selected candidates will be placed to undergo a training period of 1 year in various NTPC plants. The final posting place is decided only after the completion of the training period. Upon completion of training, candidates can be placed in any NTPC project/station across the country. Furthermore, application for the recruitment is considered as a direct consent of the applicant to be placed under such terms and conditions after completion of training.
