Even as the slot booking process of one of India’s important engineering entrance exams held by a private institute, VIT, the exam being VITEEE 2021, is ongoing, there is one more day to go to apply for this exam. Engineering aspirants are reminded that the last date to fil and submit the application form for this exam is tomorrow, May 20, 2021.
Tomorrow is an important day for VITEEE 2021. Besides marking the end of application submission process, it is also the day when mock test will be launched. Each student can take 2 mock tests. The first mock test can be taken on a day among May 20, 21, and 22, 2021, which will be AI proctored. And the second mock test can be taken on one of the days between May 24, 25, and 26, 2021; this will be human-proctored. On each day that the mock tests will happen, there are different slots – student can take mock test in that slot which he/she has chosen during slot booking.
The registration for the entrance test began on November 30 last year and will come to an end now. The entrance exam is scheduled to take place on May 28, 29 and 31, 2021 through remote proctored mode where the questions will be of MCQ nature. The performance in this exam will form the basis of admission to VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai , VIT AP and VIT Bhopal.
Students who have already applied can go ahead and book their slots via viteee.codetantra.com. The preferred exam slots as well as mock test slots can be chosen by May 21, 2021.
The candidates who fail to register for the slot will not be allowed to take up mock tests and the actual exam.
For the new applicants, the registration process is as follows: The aspirants will have to visit viteee.vit.ac.in in order to fill up their application form. On reaching the official website, the candidates have to find the VITEEE 2021 link and visit it to register themselves. Next, the students will be asked to enter their mobile number and email id for registration. After this, the students have to log in and fill their application form with the details like Name, Address, Date of birth, Religion, Aadhaar number and marks scored in Class 12th marks, school details et al. Then the students have to pay the application fee of Rs 1150 if paid online and Rs 1050 if applied through the Mobile app.
The next step will be uploading the photograph and signature of the candidate. The size of the photo and signature should be 10-200 kb. The student is also required to upload scanned copies of the documents such as Class 12th marksheet, Class 12th admit card and latest JEE scorecard, SAT scorecard and Aadhaar Card. An OTP will be generated and sent to the registered number of the candidate to verify the candidature and finally, the password will be sent to the registered email id of the candidate.
VIT is conducts the VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Exam) annually for the candidates aspiring to appear in the entrance test for the Engineering courses in the Institute. This is the first time that the exam is being held as an ORPE, home based test.
