The North Eastern Railway has notified 09 vacancies for the post of Visiting Specialists. The candidates who possess the relevant qualification will be inducted for a total period of 01 years on a contract basis. However, an extension can be provided based on the performance of the candidate. The last date to apply for the Visiting Specialist is 30 April 2021. The remuneration for the aforesaid post will depend based on the visiting hours. Apart from the promised stipend, a Visiting Specialist is also liable to receive a set of complementary Railway Pass applicable on the Indian Railway & Konkan Railway in the AC two-tier Coach in the Rajdhani Express.
The candidates who wish to apply for the posts of Visiting Specialist must be within the age limit of 30 years to 64 years. For the post of Super Specialist, the candidates should be having a Post Doctor all Qualification DM/MCH. While for the post of Specialist, the candidates should be having a Postgraduate degree along with Practising Experience of 3 years. However, in the absence of a PG degree, an experience of 5 years in the concerned Speciality post completion of PG Diploma is mandatory.
The candidates need to apply for the post of Visiting Specialist by downloading the application proforma available on the website of North East Railway. Upon successful download, the candidates need to enter details such as Candidate’s Name, Parent’s Name, Date of Birth, Academic percentages and marks etc. in the application form. Post filling the application form, the candidates have to put the application form into an envelope along with the photocopies of the desired documents and send it to Medical Director, Lalit Narayan Mishra Railway Hospital, North East Railway, Gorakhpur. The candidates may also choose to mail it to [email protected] before the last date of the application.
The selection of the post will be done based on the interview and scrutiny of the important documents submitted by the candidates by the Railway Committee. However, the monthly remuneration of the candidates will be completely based on the number of hours a candidate works in a week. Specialists get the honorarium of Rs 52,000 if they work 2 hours per day for 6 days a week, whereas, Rs 64,000 per month is paid to Super-specialist.
