North East Frontier Railway is inviting applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961. The division of the Indian Railway has published an official notice in this regard at the website nfr.indianrailways.gov.in. As per the notice, huge vacancies are available for the aforementioned post in various trades. The total number of vacancies is 4499. The official notification was released on August 13, 2020. However, the online application process is commencing at 10.00 AM on August 16, 2020. On the other hand, the online application window will close down at 10.00 PM on September 15, 2020. Candidates are advised to visit the website for all the complete details of the apprentice recruitment.
As per the notice, 4499 vacancies are available in designated trades at various workshops/units of N.F. Railway. There are 970 slots available at Katihar (KIR) & TDH Workshop. 493 vacancies are available at Alipurduar (APDJ). 435 vacancies are available at Rangiya (RNY). 1302 slots are available at Lumding (LMG) & S&T/workshop. 484 vacancies are available at Tinsukia (TSK) while 539 vacancies are available at New Bongaigaon Workshop (NBQS) & EWS/BNGN. In addition, 276 vacancies are also available at Dibrugarh Workshop (DBWS). Detailed trade-wise distribution of vacancies in each region can be checked from the official recruitment notification. Candidates will be paid stipend under provisions of the government.
One must ensure that they fulfil all the essential eligibility conditions before applying for the apprenticeship engagement program. The age of the candidates must be atleast 15 years and less than 24 years as on January, 01, 2020 in order to apply. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC category and persons with disabilities are eligible for certain relaxations on the upper age limit. In addition, candidates must have passed the Class 10th exam under the 10+2 examination system with 50% or mire marks in aggregate. In addition, candidates must also have National Trade Certificate (ITI) in a relevant trade. The certificate must have been issued by NCVT or any SCVT. Candidates must have all the supporting documents as copies of the same must be uploaded to the website during the process of application form fill-up.
The link to apply online is available at the official website till the last date. Candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 100 in order to apply. The fees must be paid online. Only after the payment of the fees can the applicant complete the process of form fill-up, submission and generation of print out. Scanned photograph and signature along with scanned copies of all supporting documents must be uploaded online.
