Applications are open for the entrance exam to the National Institute of Design (NID), for which the last date to apply without any late fee is November 30, 2021, until 04:00 pm. Candidates applying later will have to pay late fees along with the application fees, and such applications will only be accepted from December 1 to 5, until 04:00 pm. The edit window will be open from December 6 to 13, until 04:00 pm.
According to the official notification, admit cards will be available to download from December 23, 2021, on the official website of NID, admissions.nid.edu, and the Prelims exam will be conducted on January 2, 2022. Information regarding the result declaration and main examination will be released by NID in due course of time.
Before starting the application process candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the eligibility criteria, intake availability, and other relevant information by going through the official admission notification.
All the eligible candidates who are willing to apply can apply online on NID’s official website admissions.nid.edu. Candidates can check the below-mentioned steps to apply:
Step 1 – Candidates will need to register first by opting for the study programme and providing nationality and category details through the drop-down menu. Candidates will have to provide a valid email ID and mobile number.
Step 2 – After successful registration, the login credentials will be sent via SMS and email. It should be noted that the registration details cannot be changed later.
Step 3 – Login to the dashboard and proceed to the application form. Here, candidates will be required to fill in all the required details.
Step 4 – After completing the details in the application form click on ‘save and proceed’ to go to the next part of the application.
Step 5 – Next part is ‘Upload Documents’, where candidates will have to upload a photo, signature, and caste certificate (if applicable). Click on save and next.
Step 6 – After uploading all the required documents, candidates will have to pay the application fee and print a copy of the application form and fee receipt.
The candidates are asked to check the official admission handbook available on the website of NID for the details regarding eligibility criteria, fees, document requirements, reservation, etc.
NID conducts Design Aptitude Test for the admissions into Bachelor’s and Master’s programs of design. DAT will be conducted in two stages: Prelims and Mains. Prelims which is going to be conducted on January 2, 2022, in offline mode for which the time duration will be announced in the admit card. But, according to the official notification, depending on the situations of COVID, the nature of the exams can change, which will be the discretion of the institute.
