The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has scheduled the ICSE English Literature 2021-2022 semester 1 exam on November 30, 2021. Revised timetable for the 10th standard ICSE board has been uploaded on the official website at cisce.org. With only a few hours left for the commencement of the exam, it is advisable to go through the Specimen papers released by the council. Despite the speculations that emerged before for the mode of examinations, it was later on concluded that the ICSE exams will be held in the offline pen and paper-based mode. The duration of the examination will be 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Recalling the new rule of the CISCE, to conduct two-semester exams from 2021-2022 onwards, the council has released a bifurcated syllabus. According to the notification, the test will be conducted for 40 marks. Questions will be framed on comprehension-based short answers and long answer-type questions. These are mainly based on novels and various poems included in the ICSE curriculum. The decision of cutting down some parts from the syllabus has been taken referring to the questionable circumstance prevailing in the nation because of Covid-19.
