The National Institute of Design (NID) will be closing the application process for Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) and Master of Design (M.Des.) programmes today, i.e. November 30, 2021. Candidates have time up to 4 PM to submit applications without any late fee. Those candidates who will fail to apply by the deadline can submit their applications from December 01 to 06, 2021 along with the late fee. Later on, the window to make edits in the application form will be opened from December 06 to 13.
Candidates who will be applying today must go through the eligibility criteria available on the official admission website of NID – admissions.nid.edu. Take a look at the steps given below on how to submit the NID 2022 application form.
Step 1- Go to the official website – admissions.nid.edu
Step 2- Select a programme of study, nationality and category to complete the registration process
Step 3- The login credentials will be generated using which candidates will be able to fill up the next set of details
Step 4- Now, candidates will have to upload scanned copies of the passport-size photo and signature along with other required documents
Step 5- Pay the required fees and take a printout of the application form.
Take note that the applicants belonging to the General, General-EWS and OBC-NCL categories are required to pay Rs 3000 as application fee. Similarly, candidates from SC, ST, General-PwD, General-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD and ST-PwD categories have to pay Rs 1500 as application fee. On the other hand, the required fee for Overseas (Supernumerary) candidates is Rs 5000. Furthermore, the application fee for candidates applying for two disciplines under the M.Des. programme is going to be double the mentioned fees.
As stated already, the application window will be available from December 01 (from 4 PM) to December 06 (up to 4 PM) during which candidates can submit the NID 2022 application form along with the late fee. Details regarding this will be available on admissions.nid.edu.
The admit cards for NID 2022 will be available from December 23, 2021 on the same website. Candidates aspiring for B.Des. have to appear for the prelims of the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) which will be held on January 02, 2022. Coming to M.Des., the DAT prelims paper will be of 100 marks comprising a Common Design Aptitude Test and a Discipline Specific Test. This will also be conducted on January 02, 2022.
