The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release the official notification for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 very soon. Once the registration for the medical entrance examination begins, candidates can complete the application process via the official website – neet.nta.nic.in. Although the exam date has not been announced, candidates can expect the date to fall in July 2022.
According to several reports, the official notification for NEET 2022 is likely to be released in the upcoming week while the application process will begin from April 01, 2022 onwards. The exact date will also be announced around that time.
Exam in July
Previously, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has recommended the last two weeks of June, 2022 for holding the examinations. However, at this point, it now seems that there is a high chance for the examination to be conducted in July and not June. According to experts, various other examinations also fall in the last week of June which makes it an unsuitable time for holding the NEET 2022 examination. These examinations also include the CBSE term 2 board exam which will be ending in mid-June.
JEE Main factor
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will also be occupied with declaring the JEE Main 2022 result during that time. Hence, if the NEET 2022 exam is held in mid-July, then the results can be expected by the end of August 2022. As many as 16 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the medical entrance exam. Despite all these, it is noteworthy that the counseling for NEET 2021 has not been completed yet. As such, many are of the opinion that the NEET 2022 notification will be released after the counseling procedure gets completed. Since no actual update is available regarding the matter, candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website – neet.nta.nic.in.
Clash with other exams
NTA has recently commenced the registration process for the JEE Main 2022 examination. Amidst all these, candidates have been asking the agency to postpone the exam. The first session of the exam falls in April while the second one is in May. Now, if the second session is postponed till June, then there would be a clash with the board exams. All these logistical problems may hint that the NEET 2022 exam has a high chance of being held in July.
