The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to conduct the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) II exam on November 14, 2021. Admit cards for the same are likely to release by October 24, 2021, on the official website – upsconline.nic.in. Candidates, who have registered for the recruitment exam, will have to download their admit cards at least a day before the exam. The recruitment exam is going to be conducted alongside the Combined Defence Services (CDS) II Examination, as per the official notice issued by the commission.
According to the press note issued by the UPSC, registered candidates will get their NDA and NA II 2021 admit cards three weeks before the recruitment exam. As of now, the exam is going to take place on November 14, 2021. This implies that the admit cards will be issued on or by October 24, 2021, i.e., three weeks prior.
To download the NDA and NA 2021 admit cards, candidates will have to fill in certain details, including registration ID or roll number, date of birth, father’s name, etc. These details may be required to access the admit card. Apart from this, candidates must also remember that they will only be issued e-admit cards as the commission will not be sending out any admit card via post or other offline sources.
In case the candidate is unable to access his/her NDA & NA II 2021 admit card, he/she is instructed to contact the authorities, at least a week prior to the recruitment exam. Beyond this deadline, the UPSC will not be taking responsibility for non-receipt of an admit card by any aspirant.
Previously, the NDA & NA II 2021 examination was scheduled on September 05, 2021. However, the UPSC issued a public notice announcing the rescheduled date. While direct reasons behind the rescheduling were not specified in the notice, candidates assumed that the possible reason was simply a matter of convenience – i.e. conducting two important exams on the same date. The CDS II 2021 exam was already scheduled on November 14, 2021, and hence, this was the most appropriate date to hold another defence-related exam, i.e. NDA & NA II. Again, this is just an assumption and the UPSC has not provided any comment to either support or reject this claim.
According to the public notice, the NDA & NA II 2021 examination will be held across 75 centres in the country. To make it more convenient, the UPSC had provided candidates the facility to change their exam centre till June 29, 2021, giving them ample time to update their already submitted application forms. Candidates are advised to continue their preparation and wait for the admit cards to release.
