The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has postponed the examination date for the State Engineering Services prelims 2022. Earlier, the exam was supposed to be held on April 24 but the same will now be held on May 22. The prelims exam is going to be conducted across the centers in Gwalior, Indore, Bhopal, and Jabalpur. Candidates who will be appearing for the exam can now check the revised schedule from the official website – mppsc.mp.gov.in.
As per the notification, candidates will get information about the examination city via SMS or email at least 10 days before the examination date. Similarly, the admit cards can be downloaded from May 17, onwards. Candidates have to visit mponline.gov.in and mppsc.mp.gov.in to download the admit cards.
The MPPSC SSE prelims 2022 exam will be held for a total of 283 vacancies. As such, the selection process will be done based on the exam and subsequent interview. The upcoming preliminary examination will be held offline and candidates have to mark their answers on the OMR sheets.
MPPSC SSE Prelims 2022
The State Engineering Services prelims 2022 question paper will have two sections. A duration of 3 hours will be given to the candidates to complete the test. The section-wise subjects and marks have been given in the table.

There will be 50 questions in Section A and 100 questions in Section B. Each question will carry 03 marks. However, there will be a negative marking of 01 mark for every incorrect answer. The entire question paper will follow an objective-type (MCQ) pattern. For every question, four options will be given and the candidate has to mark the correct one. In case someone selects more than one option, then that question will not be evaluated.
Section A of the question paper will be in both English and Hindi while Section D will be in English only. It is mandatory to secure 40% marks in Section A and 40% marks in Section B of the MPPSC SSE prelims exam 2022 separately.
The merit of a candidate will be formed by adding up the marks of both sections of the exam. In the following stage, the interview round comprising 50 marks will be held. It must be noted that there are no minimum passing marks prescribed for the interview.
