Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) issued a public notice yesterday, June 02, 2021, announcing the examination date for the State Service Preliminary Exam. The public notice was published on the official website mppsc.nic.in. Accordingly, the exam has been postponed from June 20 to July 25, 2021. The decision was taken in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the prevailing circumstances. Authorities further stated that the decision was taken keeping in mind the health and safety of students.
Before the rescheduling announcement, there were various rumours doing roundabout regarding the postponement of the MPPSC preliminary examination 2021. However, the Commission authorities refuted all such rumours regarding the postponement of exams. However, due to the second wave of coronavirus wreaking havoc in the country, authorities were compelled to take this call. While the country is recovering from the second wave, the risk is still high to conduct this state-level examination.
The MPPSC Prelims Exam 2021 is being conducted to fill a total of 235 vacancies that comes under the State Services SSE 2020. Similarly, the examination is also being held for 111 vacancies for the post of Assistant Conservator of Forest and Forest Ranger. This post comes under the State Forest SFS 2020. Accordingly, candidates who qualify for the prelims exam shall be eligible to appear for the mains exams. As of now, the MPPSC Prelims 2021 exam is scheduled for July 25, 2021. The exact date for the mains exam shall be notified by the commission in due course of time.
Earlier, MPPSC had also decided to postpone the Engineering Service Examination as well as the Dental Surgeon Exam. Like the preliminary exam, these two tests were also scheduled to be conducted in June 2021. However, they were postponed due to the pandemic situation. While the exams have been postponed indefinitely, MPPSC reassured students that new dates for the same shall be announced in due course of time. In the meantime, candidates are advised to check the official website mppsc.nic.in for important updates.
MPPSC authorities were also scheduled to conduct the state forest service examination on April 18, 2021. However, the exam was postponed and the release of admit cards was also deferred indefinitely. Commission authorities on June 01, 2021, MPPSC had commenced the interview round for the medical office post from Tuesday, June 01, 2021. By conducting this recruitment drive, a total of 727 vacancies shall be filled for the assigned post. The recruitment announcement was issued on March 14, 2021, and following this, the online application process continued till March 26, 2021.
