Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University has concluded VITEEE 2021 Exam on Monday. The VIT Engineering Entrance Exam was conducted for three days on May 28, 29 and 31, 2021. However, several students are now demanding reconduct of the entrance examination.
The VITEEE 2021 examination was conducted as a home-based remote-proctored test. Students had to appear for the entrance examination at a place of their convenience. During the VITEEE slot booking process, they were given a chance to opt for an exam date slot as per their preference. However, due to some technical difficulties, the exam on May 29, 2021 Slot 2 was rescheduled to May 30, 2021.
However, the entrance examination did not go smooth for several students. With trending hashtags, candidates have shared the technical glitch they faced while commencing the examination. Candidates have shared that they were unable to log in to the exam. Those who were successful to log in got stuck at selecting options for the questions.
Candidates have also reported that they tried to reach out to the proctor helpline but they were left unanswered. The CodeTantra server and VITEE login both were stuck at HTTP Status 404- Not Found. Students now want VIT University to reschedule the exam dates so that they can appear for the examination without any server error.
Moreover, VIT University organized an entrance examination online amidst COVID-19. The University has warned students that legal actions will be taken against students who are found indulged in malpractices during the exam. In a statement, VIT has said that UGC and AICTE will also be informed about student’s action which will hinder the chances of getting admission to any other institute of higher education or cancel the admission.
Despite strict restrictions, several students are getting emails and messages about the malpractice and cheating performed during the examination. As per the reports, there were some social media groups and other platforms that participated in the VITEEE malpractices. Students were provided with the answers to the questions asked in the entrance examination. Candidates now demand VITEEE Re-Exam.
With the increase in the demand for reconduct of exam, the result declaration procedure is getting delayed. VIT University has also not addressed the demand of re-conduct of the VITEEE 2021 exam yet. Candidates are advised to wait for an official announcement in this regard and visit the official website regularly for any update.
