Mahalanobis National Crop Forecast Center is receiving online applications for the recruitment of Analyst Level Personnel in various projects of the organization

Mahalanobis National Crop Forecast Center (MNCFC) is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill 13 posts of Analysts on a contractual basis. The vacancies are advertised through a detailed recruitment notification published at the website of the organization i.e. ncfc.gov.in. Eligible candidates who are willing to apply for the positions of Analysts are required to apply online through the official website only. No other form of application is accepted. The last date of submission of online applications is August 15, 2020.

As per the recruitment notification, the vacancies are for the projects of MNCFC such as FASAL, NADAMS, CHAMAN & PMFBY. For such projects, the organization is hiring 13 Analyst Level Personnel (ALPs) on a contractual basis through a Service Provider, engaged by MNCFC. The tenure of the posts is valid till March 31, 2021, and subject to extension depending on the extension of the project and the performance of the candidate. During the employment tenure, candidates are paid a fixed monthly consolidated pay of Rs 50,000. Candidates within the maximum permissible age of 35 years are eligible to apply. The post categories are numbered as 1, 2 & 3 in the detailed recruitment. For the post category 1, applicants must have an M.tech in Remote Sensing & GIS/Geomatics/Geoinformatics/Computer Science/IT with B. Tech (EC/CS/IT). In addition, candidates must have at least one year of experience in Image Processing/Web GIS/Software Development/Machine Learning/AI.

In order to apply for the post categories 2 & 3, relevant educational qualifications as specified are required. Candidates having an M.Sc. degree in Agricultural Meteorology/Agricultural Physics/Agricultural Statistics/Agronomy are eligible to apply for Post category 2. Such candidates must also have B.Sc. (Agriculture) along with one year of experience in the field of Remote Sensing data analysis/Crop Yielding Modelling/Drought Assessment. Furthermore, candidates applying for recruitment to the post category 3 must have an M.Sc./M. Tech/M.Sc. (Tech) degree in Remote Sensing & GIS/Geomatics/Geoinformatics. Such candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in Physics/Mathematics/Agriculture/Engineering and have 1 year of minimum experience in the field of Remote Sensing & GIS data analysis. It is essential that candidates have passed their qualifying degree with at least 60% marks.

The selection of eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of interview and curriculum vitae (experience & academic record). Shortlisted applicants are called by the service provider for physical or online interviews. The selection interviews are to be held in New Delhi. However, no TA/DA is paid for attending the interviews. Eligible applicants who are willing to apply for the recruitment can do so at the aforementioned official website only. Applicants must note that shortlisted candidates are appointed at MNCFC, New Delhi and one ALP is also placed at SAC (ISRO), Ahmedabad.
