Bharat Electronics Limited, Bengaluru is inviting applications for engagement of apprentices. The apprenticeship training is for the post of Accountant under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) through National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The period of Apprenticeship is for one year initially although it can be extended. BEL India has published an official notification in this regard at their official website i.e. bel-india.in. Eligible candidates who are interested in the apprenticeship training can register and apply online at the NAPS web portal apprenticeshipindia.org. The last date to apply online is August 08, 2020.
As per the detailed notification published by Bharat Electronics Limited, Commerce graduates are being invited for engagement to the aforementioned apprenticeship training in the post of Accountant. Therefore, candidates need to have a Graduate degree in Commerce i.e. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) in order to apply. The degree must have been obtained on or after June 01, 2018. Candidates belonging from General and OBC categories must have acquired their degree by securing a minimum of 60% marks. SC/ST and PWD candidates must have acquired their degrees by securing a minimum of 50% marks. However, only those applicants who are domiciled in the state of Karnataka are eligible to apply. Those who have undergone/undergoing/already registered for Optional Trade Training under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) in other organizations are however not eligible for the apprenticeship. Those who have higher qualifications than a B.Com degree are also not eligible for the apprenticeship training.
The selection of eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of merit. The merit is interpreted in terms of the marks secured by the applicant in their Class 10th exam, Class 12th exam, and B.Com graduation course. Upon final selection, successful applicants are to be engaged at the aforementioned apprenticeship training program for an initial period of one year only. However, the training period is extendable to up to 03 years depending upon the performance of the candidates during the first year and subsequent approval from the NAPS. Candidates are to be engaged at BEL, Bangalore only for a monthly stipend of Rs 10,500 during the initial year.
Eligible candidates have to apply online through the aforementioned NAPS web portal only. At first, candidates must complete the registration process to activate the NAPS student account. Thereafter, one can log in to the portal by using the registered email ID and generated password. Once logged in, candidates must search for ‘Bengaluru Urban’ or ‘Bharat Electronics Limited’ under ‘Apprenticeship Opportunities’. Thereby one must find the opportunity listed as ‘Accountant’. Applications can then be submitted online by clicking on the ‘Apply’ option under the Apprenticeship Training Program. Scanned copies of the Class 10th mark sheet, Class 12th mark sheet & B.Com degree certificates must be uploaded along with the online application form. SC/ST, OBC and PWD candidates have to send the scanned copy of caste/disability certificate by indicating their name and NAPS registration number to [email protected] on or before the last date.
