State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, has extended the deadline for MHT CET 2021 registration without late fee until July 15, 2021. Earlier, the last date to apply was July 7, 2021. While the registration date has been pushed back, there is still no hint about the exam date of the state level entrance exam. It is expected that the Maharashtra CET will be held after JEE Main 2021 phases 3 and 4 are over, most probably in the month of August 2021.
The eligible candidates can apply MHT CET 2021 from mhtcet2021.mahacet.org. To apply, candidates need to visit the official website and click on the link for “New Registration”. After doing so, candidates need to read all the instructions and then click on “I Accept and Proceed” button. Next step is to register by entering personal and address details. Candidates also need to select a password as well. Following this, candidates can fill rest of details in the application form, upload images, and pay the application fee.
The application fee for MHT CET 2021 is Rs. 800. However, candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC / VJ / DT- NT(A) / NT(B) / NT(C) /NT(D) /SBC /EWS / PWD / and state of Maharashtra only need to pay Rs. 600. The amount can be paid online as well.
For a new registration, only those candidates who has passed or appeared for HSC (12th/ equivalent examination) are eligible. Apart from this, candidates should be a citizen of India and must have passed HSC with a minimum of 50% marks, having physics and maths as core subjects. It is also essential that candidates fulfil detailed eligibility criteria as given in the information brochure.
Once the registration is over and the exam date is finalised, State CET CELL will issue admit card. It will also be issued online, on the official website.

MHT-CET-2021 will be conducted for admission to professional courses in Engineering / Technology, Pharmacy, and Agricultural education for the academic year 2021-22. Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell being a nodal agency will conduct MHT CET 2021 at the various examination centers within and outside of Maharashtra State.
The exam will be held in CBT mode. There will be 2 sections in the exam for physics-chemistry and mathematics. The exam will be of 190 minutes and will have a total of 150 questions. All the questions will be of multiple choice type. Under physics-chemistry section, each question will be of 1 mark. However, questions in maths section will be of 2 marks each. There will be no negative marking in the exam.
