Directorate of Education, Government of Manipur has issued a latest recruitment notification to fill up 923 vacancies for Graduate Teachers in 2020. The advertisement is published through the official website of the department i.e. manipureducation.gov.in. Eligible and intending candidates can apply for recruitment to the contractual vacancies as per schedule by paying the requisite application fee. The last date of receipt of applications is January 11, 2021.
The vacancies are available for the Arts Graduate teacher and Science Graduate teacher. There are 614 vacancies available for Arts Graduate teachers and 309 vacancies are available for Science Graduate teachers. All of the vacancies are to be filled up on a contractual basis only. The contract period is to remain valid from the date of contract agreement to the closing date of the financial year.

Selected candidates are to be appointed to the aforementioned posts for a monthly salary of Rs 13600. However, it is essential that candidates fulfil the specified eligibility criteria before applying for the recruitment.
Candidates must be holding a Graduate degree in the disciplines of Arts or Science in order to apply. In addition, a B.Ed. degree awarded by a recognized University is also essential to apply for this recruitment. The age limit to apply for recruitment to these posts is 18 to 38 years. However, relaxations on the upper age limit can be availed by candidates belonging to certain reserved categories as per government norms in vogue.
As per the advertisement released by the Directorate of Education, the selection of the eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of a written test to be conducted as per schedule. The complete details of the written test is also indicated in the advertisement.
The examination consist of two parts where Part I is based on the subjects of General Knowledge & Current Affairs, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Computer Literacy. On the other hand, the Part II exam is based on the subjects of Optional subject of Science and Social Science. The question paper consist of 100 MCQ type questions which must be completed within a total duration of one and a half hours. Part I is compulsory whereas, candidates can choose from the optional subjects in Part II as per preference as Arts or Science Graduate teacher.
Candidates are advised to refer to the detailed advertisement for the complete syllabus of the exam for Part I. The syllabus of Part II is as per the syllabus up to the level of 12th standard.
It may be noted that the posts are to be filled up through appointment of qualifying candidates on Direct Specific and non transferable basis. Candidates must submit the applications along with copies of attested/self-attested copies of supporting documents. The application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs 300 while SC/ST candidates have to pay only Rs 200 application fees. PWD candidates are exempted from any application fee.
