Army Recruiting Office, Almora is going to conduct a recruitment rally from February 24 to March 10, 2021, for recruitment to various Soldier posts. A detailed rally notification has been published in this regard at the website joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates from the districts of Almora, Bageshwar, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar of Uttarakhand satisfying other eligibility conditions are invited to mandatorily register online at the website from December 17, 2020, to January 30, 2021. Registered candidates are to be sent admit cards to participate in the rally through the registered email address from February 08 to 14, 2021.
As per the detailed rally notification, the vacancies are for the posts of Soldier GD, Soldier GD (IDG), Soldier Technical, Soldier Nursing Assistant, Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical/Inventory Management, Soldier Tradesman (10th Pass) and Soldier Tradesman (8th Pass). Candidates within the age group of 17.5 to 23 years are eligible to register and appear in the rally. However, the maximum age limit to apply for recruitment to Soldier GD posts is 21 years.
Candidates must have passed Class 10 exam with 45% aggregate marks and 33% in each subject to apply for Soldier GD post. For the post of Soldier GD (IDG), applicants must have passed Class 12 with PCM and English with at least 50% aggregate marks and 40% marks in each subject.
Likewise, Class 12 pass candidates (PCB and English) with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject are eligible to apply for Soldier Nursing Assistant post. Those who have passed Class 12 exam in any stream with at least 60% marks in aggregate and 50% in each subject (including English and Maths/Accounts/Bool Keeping) are eligible to apply for the post of Soldier Clerk. Simple 10th pass and 8th pass candidates who have secured at least 33% marks in each subject are eligible to apply for the posts of respective Soldier Tradesman.
Candidates have to appear at the rally as per time and date indicated on the admit card with the specified list of documents. These include among other documents, the admit card (printed copy) and 20 copies of unattested recent coloured passport sized photographs. At the rally site, the candidates are to be selected through Physical Fitness tests that include 1.6 Km run, Pull-ups, 9 feet ditch and zig-zag balance. In addition, candidates also have to qualify through the Physical standards test as per standards specified in the rally notification and a medical examination test.
Those who qualify all the stages of the rally event are to be issued admit cards to appear in a written test to be held as per schedule indicated on the admit card. The admit cards for the written test are to be issued at the rally grounds itself. Candidates are advised to report in due time for the rally and make prior arrangements for accommodation to appear in the rally which is conducted over a period of 3 to 4 days.
It may be noted that no application fee is charged by the Indian Army for this recruitment. However, online registrations are mandatory and only those candidates who are domiciled in the specified districts of Uttarakhand and fulfil the eligibility criteria must apply.
