Karnataka State Police (KSP) has released a notification for recruitment of Scientific Officers on its official website, recruitment.ksp.gov.in. There are 84 vacancies available for the post. The application for the same was released on June 07, 2021 and it is available on the official site, fsl21.ksponline.co.in. The last date for the applications to be filled is July 07. The last date to pay the application fees online is July 09. This application is for the post of Scientific Officer in various departments like Toxicology, Biology, Chemistry, Forensics, Narcotics and others.
In order to apply, candidates must be aged between 21 and 35 years. For OBC candidates, the age limit is between 21 to 28 years. For SC/ST candidates, the age limit is between 21 to 40 years. Candidates who are planning to apply for the post must have a Master’s degree in Science. It could be either M.Sc or M.Tech or such relevant postgraduate degrees. They should also be having a diploma/degree in the subject they have applied for. They must have scored a minimum of 55% (aggregate marks) in the exam from any university that is recognized by the government. The application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs 250. For SC/ST and CAT 1 candidates, the application fee is Rs 100.
Apart from the aforementioned educational qualifications, the candidates should have relevant research experience working as a research scholar in an institution that is recognized by the Indian government. The candidates who apply for this exam shall be tested on the basis of a written exam. The dates for the said exam will be notified soon on the official website.
In order to apply, candidates need to visit the official website of the Karnataka State Police, which is recruitment.ksp.gov.in. There one can see a “Recruitment” tab. Under that tab, select the “Online Recruitment Application” option from the drop-down. Once done, this will lead to a page with the list of vacancies, post wise. There is an “Apply Now” tab next to the name of the post. That needs to be clicked. That is going to lead on to the page carrying comprehensive details pertaining to this recruitment. The dates of submission of application, examination fees, syllabus, eligibility criteria of the candidates are mentioned on that page. On the same page, there is a drop-down option named “New Application”. That needs to be clicked, which will open up to a page where a detailed instruction for filling up the online form is going to be visible. At the bottom of the page, candidates need to click on the button “I Agree” for proceeding further with the application. Candidates are also advised to take a print-out of the application for all future reference.
It is advisable that candidates visit the website before filling the form, where complete details regarding the examination have been put up. That may help in filling up the form accurately without much difficulty.
