Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala, has issued an important public notice pertaining to the upcoming KEAM 2022 examination. The public notice has been issued online, on cee.kerala.gov.in. Accordingly. The Kerala Engineering Architecture and Medical (KEAM) 2022 entrance examination has been postponed to July 03, 2022. Initially scheduled on June 26, 2022, the test has been postponed by a week’s time.
In addition to announcing the rescheduled KEAM 2022 exam date, the press release also specifies the reason for postponement. The reason is rescheduled JEE Main 2022 exam dates.
What does the KEAM 2022 schedule say?
As per the official press released by the commission,
Entrance Examination for Kerala Engineering / Pharmacy Courses examination for the year 2022-23 scheduled to be held on June 26, 2022 is postponed. The Entrance Examination for Engineering / Pharmacy courses has been postponed to July 03, 2022, as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is scheduled on the same date.

Clearly, the clash of dates between two exams compelled the commission to postpone the KEAM 2022 exam.
JEE Main 2022 Schedule
After incessant protest and demands by students across the country, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 has been rescheduled to the June-July 2022 period. Previously, session 1 was scheduled on April 21, 24, 25, 29 and May 01, 04, 2022. This session has been reschuled to June 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29, 2022.
Similarly, the JEE Main 2022 Session 2 was previously scheduled on May 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29, 2022. This session has now been postponed to July 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30, 2022.
Clash of dates with KEAM 2022
Looking at the newly-announced JEE Main 2022 dates, a clash of dates with KEAM 2022 was evident. Two exams on the same date would prove hectic for those who have registered for both exams. It wouldn’t be remotely possible to attend both tests, owing to different exam centres.
Taking such reasons into consideration, the state commission has decided on postponing the exam. It is now, scheduled on July 03, 2022, at selected centres across the state.
The KEAM 2022 examination will be held for candidates who wish to seek admission for professional UG courses. These include B.Tech and B.Pharm. Being a state-level test, KEAM only covers the colleges and institutes located within Kerala. It is important to note that admission for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, etc will be held through NEET 2022.
