For the umpteenth time this year, a controversial situation has escalated on Twitter with respect to two things – 1. RB NTPC 2021 Result and 2. RRB Group D 2021 Exam Date. Students who had applied for the recruitment drive 3 years ago have been incessantly tweeting using the hashtag #JusticeForRailwayStudents, demanding the government to announce the exam date and joining dates. This online movement has gained tremendous momentum with more than 4 million tweets in the last few hours. However, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is yet to announce any firm decision.

Why the uproar?
Initially, the RRB NTPC 2021 exam was held in a phase-wise manner from December 28, 2020, to July 31, 2021. Results for the same were expected to come out on August 31, 2021. However, the result for the computer-based test (CBT) 1 is yet to be announced along with CBT-2 exam dates. A recent official notice clarified that dates for both events have not yet been ascertained.
In the case of the RRB Group D 2021 exam date, the recruitment board was going to announce the exam dates post-conduction of the NTPC CBT 1 exam. However, all we know so far is that the exam is going to be conducted in a phase-wise manner. However, candidates are still clueless about the exam schedule.

RRB had issued official notifications for both recruitment drives in 2019. In this span of almost 3 years from 2019-2022 (approaching), the selection process has been moving at a snail’s pace, causing immense frustration and confusion to aspirants. Under such circumstances, candidates have united today to demand the central government and the RRB to announce the schedule for Group D and NTPC recruitment 2021.
While expressing their thoughts and demands online, most candidates have cited problems such as time-wastage, unemployment, and lack of direction. No candidate had anticipated such a long wait for both Group D and NTPC 2021 selection process.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic has also been the cause of disruptions, the lack of communication at the RRB’s end has also affected candidates. Another impending question is – if national-level entrance exams like JEE Main and NEET can be conducted across the country, what’s stopping the RRB from conducting their recruitment exams?
As if now, candidates are continuing their Twitter movement to put forth their demands. Now, it is for the government and the recruitment board to announce result dates and end the uncertainty surrounding the RRB Group D and NTPC 2021 recruitment drive.
