Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is all set to announce the seat 1 allocation results today, October 27, 2021, on the official website josaa.nic.in. On the basis of rank obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021, seats will be allocated in reputed NITs, IIFTs and other government funded engineering colleges. Similarly, on the basis of marks and corresponding ranks obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021, seats will be allocated at prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Candidates who have been allocated seats and are satisfied with their allotment need to complete the remaining formalities latest by October 30, 2021. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur announced the JEE Advanced 2021 results on October 15, 2021. Those who qualified the JEE Main and Advanced 2021 exams were given time up to October 25, 2021, to fill-in their choice of technical institutes in the order of preference. In-between, mock seat-allocation rounds were held to make candidates understand the how the JoSAA 2021 counselling session will function.
Once the registration bit was over, authorities took a day’s time to reconcile all the candidate data received as well as validate and verify it in terms of availability of seats in various technical institutions. Based on this consolidated data, authorities will be announcing the JoSAA 2021 Round 1 Seat Allotment Results on the official portal josaa.nic.in. As mentioned in the counselling schedule, the seat allotment results will be announced at 10:00 am today.
Post result declaration, candidates who are satisfied with their seat allocation must complete three important formalities to confirm their admission. These comprise of – 1. Counselling and admission fee payment, 2. Uploading of required documents and 3. Responding to the query.
Unlike previous-years, this year, all three steps need to be completed through the online mode. Candidates will have time up to October 31, 2021, to respond to their query by uploading he necessary documents. This steps is simply to confirm whether a candidate is interested in seeking admission at their allotted college or not.
In case candidates are not satisfied with their JoSAA 2021 seat allotment, they have time from November 02 to 05, 2021, up to 5:00 pm to initiate the withdrawal of their seat or exit from the seat allotment process altogether. They must complete their query response to withdrawal latest by November 05, 2021, up to 5:00 pm. However, prior to this, the JoSAA 2021 Round 2 seat allocation results will be announced on November 01, 2021. The same formalities as application in case of first round will follow sound for the second one.
