National Testing Agency has officially postponed the JEE Main April 2021 session exam dates. The Agency will confirm new dates of the engineering entrance exam in due course of time. A public notice has been released in this regard on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The notice reads “The revised dates for the JEE (Main) – 2021 April session will be announced later on and at least 15 days before the examination”. The JEE Main 2021 April session examinations were scheduled to be held on April 27, 28 & 30, 2021.

The NTA has successfully conducted the first two sessions of the JEE Main 2021 exams this year. The first session was conducted in February 2021 while the second session concluded in March 2021. Following through, the NTA was all set to conduct the April session exams which has now been deferred by the Agency itself.

“…looking at the present situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and also taking into account the safety and well-being of the candidates and examination functionaries, it has been decided to postpone the JEE (Main) – 2021 April Session”, the NTA has confirmed.

Senior Director, Exams, Dr Sadhana Parashar, signing the official public notice has urged candidates to utilise the time to prepare themselves better for the examination. The NTA Abhyas App has been recommended for JEE Main 2021 mock tests. The application features full length and chapter-wise practice tests. Such mock tests are highly recommended before taking the national level JEE Main 2021 exam. Candidates can utilise the application from the comfort of their homes, the NTA postponement notice reads.

The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) is a national level entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency. Save this year, the NTA has been conducting the JEE Main twice a year. Taking into account the aftermaths of the COVID-19 pandemic and in a bid to support the student community, the Agency is conducting the examination in four sessions this year. One can appear in one or multiple sessions. As per official records, 620978 candidates appeared in the first session in February 2021 while 556248 candidates appeared in the second session in March 2021.

Candidates has been urged by the Agency to keep visiting the official websites nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in for further updates. The NTA can be reached at 011-40759000 and [email protected] for any clarifications on the conduct of JEE Main 2021.
