Registrations for JEE Advanced 2021 are going to start from today, i.e. September 15, 2021 in the evening at jeeadv.ac.in. The entrance examination is going to be held on October 03, 2021 (Sunday). The last date for registration is September 20, 2021 (5 PM) while the same for paying the registration fee is September 21, 2021 (5 PM).
Before starting with the JEE Advanced registration, candidates must check whether they fulfill the eligibility criteria or not. The registration process comprises of two procedures namely A and B. Those candidates who have qualified JEE Main 2021 will follow the steps under Procedure A which are given below.
Step 1- Log in at jeeadv.ac.in using the same credentials for JEE Main 2021
Step 2- Enter basic data and the examination city choices
Step 3- Candidates can also add additional phone number and email ID along with the ones provided at the time JEE Main 2021 registration. This is, however, optional
Step 4- After that, they have to upload the required documents
Step 5- Pay the registration fee
On the other hand, under the one-time measure, students who are eligible to appear directly for JEE Advanced 2021 have to follow Procedure B of registration. For that, they have to log in using the credentials for JEE Main 2020 examination. Now, after logging in, they have to:
Step 1- Provide the basic data and the choices of examination cities
Step 2- Add additional mobile number and email ID, if required
Step 3- Enter the URC along with the required documents
Step 4- Upload scanned copies of the necessary documents and pay the registration fee
The documents required for JEE Advanced registration are class 10 certificate (with the date of birth mentioned) or simply the birth certificate, class 12 marksheet/pass certificate. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories will have to upload relevant documents as mentioned in the information brochure which can be downloaded from the official website.
The JEE Advanced 2021 registration fee for female, SC, ST and PwD candidates, who are Indian nationals is Rs. 1,400. All other candidates must pay Rs, 2,800. Under the foreign nationals category, candidates from the SAARC countries must pay USD 75 and those from the non-SAARC countries have to pay USD 150 as the registration fee.
This year, the organizing institute for JEE Advanced is IIT Kharagpur. The examination will be held to admit students to the various undergraduate programs across the IITs in the country. There will be two papers for the examinations and the duration for each is 03 hours.
