Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has notified the press release regarding the eligibility criteria of the recruitment of Officers/Engineers through GATE 2022.
As per the press release, this year the company will recruit engineers for a total of 7 disciplines viz. Chemical engineering, Civil engineering, Computer science engineering, Electrical engineering, Instrumentation engineering, Mechanical engineering, and Metallurgical engineering.
Along with this, the company has also made a change regarding academic eligibility, the press release says that only those candidates who have appeared for the GATE 2022 exam are eligible. The candidates who have participated in GATE 2021 or previous years are not eligible for this year’s recruitment.
The IOCL Officers/Engineers 2021 application forms will be available on the official website, iocl.com once the admit card of GATE 2022 is released. The candidates can resort to the official application portal to fill the same.
The selection process for IOCL 2021 recruitment includes shortlisting on the basis of GATE 2022 marks. Post this, Group Discussion, Group task, and interview will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates.
As of now, the official brochure of IOCL has not been released and is expected in the coming weeks. However, as per the previous year’s notification, the candidates must have completed their B.E./B.Tech degree from a recognized institute with at least 65% marks.
The maximum age limit to appear for the IOCL 2021 exam is 26 years for unreserved and EWS candidates. While candidates who belong to the reserved category are eligible for the age relaxation as decided by the government of India.
Once all the rounds of the selection process are over, the competent authorities will release a final merit list based on the performance of the candidate in the GATE 2022 exam, The selection process for IOCL 2021 recruitment includes shortlisting on the basis of GATE 2022 marks, group discussion, group task and interview round.
The candidates who get the final selection as Engineers/Officers within IOCL will get emoluments as per basic pay of INR 50,000 – 1,60,000. As per last year’s notice, the overall CTC for each candidate will be equivalent to INR 15.20 lakhs inc PRP. Other than the salary promised, the candidates selected during their apprenticeship will be eligible to receive a fixed monthly
stipend for the entire duration.
IOCL also introduces the service bond for the candidates who join the organization that has a validity period of 3 years. The unreserved candidates who left the organization before completion of this period will be entitled to pay INR 3 lakhs as a fine.
