Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath reviewed the development works in the Varanasi district and gave requisite directions to the district administration yesterday, i.e. September 19, 2021. The occasion was graced by the presence of the senior government and administration officials. Based on his directions, concerned authorities have to make the rural and urban roads free of potholes before Diwali. For this, every department has to prepare an action plan after a proper survey of the roads. The minister added that by tracking fever, intensive supervision, testing and treatment should be done to control dengue and other infectious diseases.
The concerned departments have to run special campaigns to complete the cleanliness and sanitization processes. Other works like fogging, entry larva spray, bleaching spray, solid waste management and drain cleaning should be done at a rapid scale. In addition to that, awareness programmes have to be carried out to prevent infectious diseases. According to the minister, flood control and relief work for the people of the flood-affected areas should be carried out actively along with proper monitoring of the Ganga water level. However, the state government has been quite successful in providing relief to the flood victims. As a result, the sensitivity of the state government towards the flood-affected victims is being felt at a wide scale.
To carry out the action plans, the chief minister directed the officers to consider the suggestions of the common people. This will help in attracting more and more tourists and also provide necessary facilities to the tourists and common people in Kashi. Further, the upcoming Meerut to Prayagraj Ganga Expressway is going to be a big project which will end up reducing the traffic time Meerut and Prayagraj by half.
In this regard, he added that a network of four-lane roads has been laid in Kashi. Now, every area of the city has been beautified. Four parking spots are now under construction in order to solve the problems associated with parking. The Khirkiya Ghat, Dashashwamedh Plaza, Godaulia to Dashashwamedh, Godaulia Marg, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, all these places and spots are said to present the grand form of Kashi in front of the world. Presently, 117 major projects worth Rs 8871.27 crore are underway in Kashi. In the upcoming days, the grandeur of Kashi will be in front of the people.
