Indian Air Force has released an announcement notice regarding the IAF Airmen Group XY result 2021 on the official website, airmenselection.cdac.in. As per the official notice, the result for the Indian Air Force Airmen for Intake 02/21 and Star 01/2021 stands delayed.
The notice further reads that this decision of postponement has been taken citing the covid-19 pandemic. The candidates who have appeared for the IAF Airmen Group XY exam between July 12 to 18, 2021 are been asked to keep a tab on the official portal for regular result updates.
“Due to administrative reasons and unprecedented situation owing to the Covid pandemic, the conduct of enrollment of airmen for Intake 02/21 and declaration of result for STAR 01/2021 online examination is delayed. Candidates are advised to keep checking their email and CASB web portal regularly for the latest updates (Updated as of 01 Oct 21)”
As per the previous year data, the IAF usually declared the result within 23 days from the date of the exam. However, this time candidates have to wait for some more time. The IAF Airmen Group X and Y provisional result is been declared by considering the tentative marks scored by the test-takers in the exam.
Although the result stands delayed, candidates can take a cue from the previous year cut off marks to know if they can qualify for the examination. As for the 2020 recruitment, the cut-off marks for Group X was 36.25 out of 70 and for Group Y, the cut-off marks were 37.25 out of 50.
Similarly, for the Airmen 01/2018 recruitment exam, the cut-off marks for Group X were 38 out of 70 for candidates and the same for Group Y was 36 out of 50 for the online written examination.
As per the previous year data, we can assume that this year too, a Group X candidate has to score at least score marks between the range of 27-38 to qualify for the next stage i.e physical measurement test. However, for Group Y candidates, the expected cut off marks for IAF Airmen 2021, is 32-38 marks.
Only those who successfully score marks equal to the cut-off marks released by the Indian Air Force will find a place in the final merit list. While the ones who fail to do the same will be disqualified from the selection process.
Indian Air Force recruits IAF Airmen for technical and non-technical posts at two levels i.e. Group X and Group Y. The candidate’s post-selection in the Group X post will be eligible to receive remuneration as per INR 33, 100 plus DA. While, the candidates selected as Group Y Airmen will be placed on the pay scale of INR 26, 900 plus DA.
