India Post has recently released a notification for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sewak in Karnataka Cycle. The conducting body published the recruitment notification online at apppost.in. As per the notice, India post is looking for 2443 Gramin Dak Sewak (GDS) for the Karnataka Postal Circle. Registrations for the India Post Karnataka Cycle have started. Eligible and intending candidates can submit their applications for the Karnataka Cycle recruitment before January 20, 2021.
To submit applications for India Post recruitment, candidates must meet the basic educational qualification. They should have passed 10th class to submit their application for India Post Karnataka Cycle recruitment. Also, aspirants must have secured passing marks in Mathematics, Local language and English languages. Moreover, it is mandatory that eligible candidates have studied local language at least up to 10th class.

Apart from the educational qualification, it is also necessary to ensure that the age limit criteria is fulfilled. Candidates should have attained the minimum age limit of 18 years while applying. Their age should not exceed the upper age limit of 40 years as on December 21, 2020. Also, the upper age relaxation is permissible for Karnataka cycle recruitment.
Application form for Karnataka Postal cycle is accepted only through the online process. So, eligible candidates can submit their applications by visiting apppost.in. They first have to register themselves in the registration module as per cycle. On successful registration, they will get a unique registration number. The next step is to pay the application fee via online or offline mode. Thereafter, they can process to submit the India Post application form. Applicants belonging to UR/OBC/EWS Male/trans-man are required to pay the application fee of Rs. 100/-. However, candidates who belong to female/trans-woman candidates, all SC/ST candidates and all PwD are exempted from the fee submission process.
Once the application process is over, India Post shortlists candidates for the announced posts. The selection is based on the marks obtained in the 10th class. The passing of all subjects is mandatory to get qualified for the posts. Based on the marks, a merit list is prepared by the conducting body. In case, more than two candidates secure equal marks then their selection is based on the date of birth (older candidates placed higher).
