Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax has announced the recruitment process for a total of 155 sportspersons in various games or sports disciplines. The posts are primarily divided into three segments – Inspector of Income Tax, Tax Assistant, and Multi-Tasking Staff. Interested candidates who fit into the eligibility criteria can apply for the sports quota recruitment 2021 on or before August 25, 2021, up to 11:59 pm. The application process is being held through the online mode on the official website incometaxmumbai.in.
Class 10 pass-outs from any recognized board are eligible to apply for the sports quota recruitment drive 2021. However, they must first look at all the eligibility requirements before proceeding to fill the application form. Firstly, the multi-tasking staff post contains a maximum of 64 vacancies. The pay level or grade for this post shall lie from Rs.18,000 to Rs.59,600. The candidate should be between 18 to 25 years to be eligible to apply for this post. Shortlisted candidates will also be permitted to all allowances meant for central government employees. Graduates from a recognized university or equivalent are eligible to apply for the post of Inspector of Income Tax. This post comprises 8 vacancies. The pay level for it shall lie from Rs.44,900 to Rs.1,42,400. The official notifications state candidates who are between 18 to 30 years old shall be deemed eligible. Similarly, candidates who have graduated from a recognized university and have a data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour are eligible to apply for the post of Tax Assistant. This post contains a maximum of 83 vacancies. The pay scale for this vacancy ranges from Rs.25,500 to Rs.81,100. Candidates who are 18-27 years old are eligible to apply for this post.
All candidates must have attained the required age by August 01, 2021. However, a 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit has been provided to unreserved or OBC candidates. Similarly, a 10-year relaxation in the eligibility criteria has been provided to SC and ST candidates. Furthermore, those who applied for the qualifying exam but are yet to receive their results are also eligible to apply for this recruitment drive.
While applying for the Income Tax Sports Recruitment 2021, candidates are instructed to follow certain instructions. Firstly, each candidate is permitted to submit only one application on or before August 25, 2021. In case more than one application is submitted, they shall be summarily rejected by the authorities. Secondly, this recruitment drive is being held for three posts. Hence, while filling the application form, aspirants must clearly specify the post for which they are applying, in the order of preference. Failure to do may lead to rejection of candidature by the department.
