Indian Institute of Technology, Madras is inviting online applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up 10 latest vacancies advertised at the official website. The vacancies are for various temporary posts in a project of Centre for Industrial Consultancy and Sponsored Research in the Electrical Engineering Department of the Institute. IIT Madras has published a latest recruitment notification in this regard at the official website icandsr.iitm.ac.in. Eligible and intending candidates are invited to apply for the recruitment on a contractual basis. The last date for submission of online application is January 29, 2021.
The complete vacancy details are indicated in the official recruitment notification. There are single openings available for each of the posts of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Junior Research Fellow. In addition, 03 vacancies are available for the post of Senior Project Officer and 05 vacancies are also available for the post of Project Associate.

Selected candidates are to be appointed on a contractual basis for a period of one year only. However, the employment tenure can be extended to up to five years. CTO post holders are entitled to receive a monthly consolidated salary of Rs 150,000. Similarly, the monthly consolidated salary for the posts of Sr. Project Officer, Project Associate and JRF is Rs 35000, Rs 21500 and Rs 31000 respectively. Candidates appointed to Sr. Project Officer and Project Associate posts are entitled to receive annual increment at the rate of Rs 2000 and Rs 1250 respectively.
Applicants must have a PhD qualification in Engineering/Science/M.Tech/M.E. or MS qualification in order to apply for the post of CTO. Those who have an M.Tech/M.E./MS qualification with 60% or more marks or an M.Sc. degree with 60% or more marks can apply for the post of Sr. Project Officer. B.Tech/B.E./AMIE/M.Sc. qualification holders with at least 60% marks are eligible to apply for the post of Project Associate. Similarly, such candidates can also apply for the post of JRF. Applicants are advised to read the official notification carefully for the complete details of the post wise eligibility criteria.
Selection of candidates is to be done through the test and/or interview. Candidates must print out the application form after submission as it is to be produced during the selection stages. Eligible applicants are to be called for the test/interview on the basis of details indicated in the online applications. Hence, document verification is also going to be conducted for verification of eligibility at a later stage.
