Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up 05 vacancies for the posts of Research Associate and Junior Research Fellow. The premier institute has published an official recruitment notification in this regard at the website iitd.ac.in. Eligible and intending candidates are invited to apply on the prescribed proforma through email. The last date of receipt of the applications is December 24, 2020, till 05.00 PM. Selected candidates are to be appointed on a contractual basis in a project funded by the Department of Science & Technology of the Institute.
As per the information available in the official notification, there are 03 vacancies available for the post of Research Associate-II while 02 vacancies are available for the post of Junior Research Fellow. After the final appointment, the incumbents are to be paid a monthly consolidated salary and other benefits. Research Associate post holders are entitled to receive a monthly salary of Rs 49000 in addition to 24% HRA. On the other hand, Junior Research Fellows are entitled to receive a monthly salary of Rs 31000 in addition to 24% HRA. The appointment is to be done on a contractual basis only.
Candidates intending to apply for the recruitment must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions as indicated in the official notification. For the post of Research Associate-II, candidates must be having a PhD qualification in Physics/Chemistry subjects in addition to a minimum of 04 publications in international journals. Applicants must also have experience in the field of research in the fields of Low-Temperature Measurements/Inorganic Chemical Synthesis (core-shell heterostructure)/PXRD/SEM/Superconductors/Raman Spectroscopy.
For the post of Junior Research Fellow, candidates holding a first-class M.Sc. or M.Tech degree in Physics/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Chemistry/Engineering Sciences/Agricultural Sciences are eligible to apply. All applicants must have passed NET/GATE exam except for those who have graduated from CFTIs with at least 80% marks (8.000 CGPA). Applicants must have experience in Biosensor technology, Physical Vapor deposition technique, device fabrication and other related fields.
As stated earlier, the selection and appointment of the candidates are to be done on a contractual basis for the duration of the project i.e. up to June 30, 2022.
