IDBI Bank has invited applications from eligible candidates against 23 fresh vacancies for the post of Bank Medical Officers, idbibank.in. The vacancies are based on 12 zones of IDBI bank and candidates will be posted in any of the ones. As per the official notice, the appointment will be contractual in nature and candidates appointed will receive remuneration at the rate of 1000 per hour of service provided. Apart from the basic remuneration, the candidates are also subjected to receive conveyance allowance of Rs 2000 per month and compounder fees of Rs 1000 per month. The selection process of the BMO will have a single interview session.

The candidates who possess the necessary eligibility as per the official notification of IDBI Bank can apply before February 24, 2021. For the application process, the candidates can download the application form from the official website of the bank. In the IDBI Bank application form, the candidates have to fill his basic details i.e candidate’s name, date of birth, contact address. Apart from this, the candidates have to also fill his academic qualification, experience, domicile, the distance of his dispensary to the bank. In the end, the candidates can put the application form in an envelope with title, “Application for the vacancy of Bank Medical Officer (BMO) on purely Contract basis” and send it to the General Manager, IDBI Bank, 21st Floor, IDBI Bank Tower, Cuffe Parade, Colaba, Mumbai-400005.
Regarding the eligibility of the IDBI BMO, the candidates whose age is less than 65 years of age are only eligible to apply for the post. Also, the candidates need to have completed MD or MBBS and must be registered with the Medical Council of India. The candidates who have an MBBS degree must be a General Practitioner for not less than 5 years as on 31 March 2021. While the candidates who possess MD must be having a minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Practitioner.
The post of BMO will be temporary in nature and the bank will review the contract every 3 years. Either of the parties can terminate the contract with one-month prior notice. The candidates thus selected as Bank Medical Officer will be granted a total of 20 days leave for the complete year. Also, since the post is temporary thus the candidates are not liable to get any benefit as a full time or part-time employees. The basic job role of the IDBI BMO is to visit the dispensary, prescribe medicines to the concerned patients and must be available to provide emergency telemedicine consultation.
