Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board has issued a latest recruitment notification to fill up 927 vacancies in various departments of the State Government. Interested candidates can download the notification PDF from the direct link below. The vacancies are available for the posts of Engineer, Draftsman, Electrician, Driller, Cameraman etc. Eligible candidates can apply online at ssbjk.org.in Online application process is scheduled to commence on February 24, 2021, and close on March 24, 2021.
As per the notification, the vacancies are av available for a wide variety of posts in various departments. 465 vacancies are available under Jal Shakti department, 345 under Horticulture department and 41 under Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department. In addition, 02 vacancies are also available under the Hospitality & Protocol Department and 74 under the information department.

Under the Jal Shakti department, posts are available for Junior Engineer, Draftsman, Jr. Stenographer/Scale Stenographer, Jr. Assistant, Mechanic, Electrician and Driller. Under the Horticulture department, the vacancies are available for the posts of Jr. Stenographer, Steno Typist, Driver, Jr. Assistant, Cashier, Cleaner, Sr. Horticulture Technician, Canning Instructor, Foreman, Lab Technician, Welder, Assistant Seamerman, Horticulture Technician Gr. IV, Assistant Mechanic, Librarian, Instructor Canning, Cameraman, Tractor Driver and Katib.
Under the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department, the openings are available for the posts of Jr. Scale Stenographer, Jr. Assistant and under the Hospitality & Protocol Department, the openings are for the posts of Table Boy and Tailor. Likewise, vacancies are also available for the posts of Steno typist, Electrician, Driver, Photo Librarian, PASO, Jr. Assistant, Screenman, Assistant Cameraman, Film Production Assistant, Jr. Culture Assistant and Cameraman.
JKSSB has indicated the post specified minimum eligibility criteria for the recruitment. Candidates applying for a particular post under any department must read the notification and ensure that the eligibility criteria are fulfilled. For instance, candidates holding a Diploma in Civil Engineering can apply for JE (Civil) post while those who have any degree with Type-writing knowledge can apply for the post of Jr. Assistant. 10th pass candidates with ITI certificate in relevant trade can apply for posts such as Mechanic and Electrician. In addition, to post specified minimum eligibility criteria, it must be ensured that the applicants are domicile of the state of Jammu & Kashmir.

Selection of candidates is to be done through written examination which will consist of objective type paper.
