ICMR-National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Belgavi is inviting applications to fill up 17 contractual posts. ICMR-NITM published an official recruitment notification at the website icmrnitm.res.in on behalf of the Dist. Health & Family Welfare Officer, Belgavi for recruitment of contract staff for COVID-19 testing labs at the institute. However, the last date to apply is today i.e. July 30, 2020, till 06.00 PM. As per the official recruitment notice, there are 17 available vacancies for the posts of Research Assistant, Laboratory Technician and Laboratory Attendant. 03 openings are available for the post of Research Assistant. 08 vacancies are available for the post of Laboratory Assistant. 06 vacancies are available for the post of Laboratory Attendant. Candidates appointed to the post of Research Assistant are entitled to receive monthly consolidated payment of Rs 30000. Lab Technicians are entitled to receive Rs 20000 monthly consolidated payment while Lab Attendants are entitled to receive monthly consolidated payment of Rs 15000.
Applicants are advised to go through the detailed recruitment notification first and ensure that they fulfil the specified minimum eligibility conditions before applying online. In order to apply for the post of Research Assistant, the minimum educational qualification required is a Master’s degree in Life Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry. In addition, one must also have work experience in a relevant field. Candidates wishing to apply for the post of Lab. Technician, applicants must have a B.Sc. degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or PUC sciences with DMLT. In addition, work experience in a relevant field is also essential in order to apply for this post. Candidates who have passed the Class 10th (SSLC) examination are eligible to apply for the post of Lab Attendant.
Candidates must also comply with the maximum permissible age limits to apply for recruitment to the aforementioned posts. General candidates up to the upper age of 35 years are eligible to apply. The upper age limit for OBC candidates is 38 years while for SC/ST and Category I candidates, the maximum upper age limit is 40 years. Eligible applicants are to be shortlisted and summoned for selection interviews. The interviews are however preferably conducted online. However, the Institute does not take liability for any failure in connectivity during an online interview on either side. Candidates selected for appointment through online interviews have to produce the original documents during the time of joining.
The applications must be made in the prescribed proforma which can be downloaded from the official website of the Institute as specified before. Completely filled applications affixed with a recent passport-sized photograph and enclosed with self-attested copies of all supporting documents and other relevant testimonials must reach the Institute at the specified email address on or before the last date i.e. today before 06.00 PM. Applications received after 06.00 PM are rejected. In addition, applications that are not filled up in the prescribed proforma are also liable for rejection. Candidates must note that the Institute does not pay any TA/DA for attending the interviews.
