Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) has officially extended the last date to apply online for the upcoming ARSB NET (ICAR NET) 2021 and ARS 2021. Earlier, the Board announced that the last date to fill up and submit online applications for the upcoming examinations is April 25, 2021. However, as per a latest notice published on the website asrb.org.in, the last date has now been extended to May 10, 2021.
Eligible candidates will now be able to fill up and submit the ICAR NET 2021 and ARS 2021 application form till 05.00 PM on the revised date. However, it is never recommended to wait till the final hours to submit the online applications. Candidates seeking a career as an Assistant Professor/Lecturer in an Agricultural University have to qualify the ICAR NET or ASRB NET exam. The ARS is conducted for Agricultural Research Service.
The extension in the last date to apply is due to the current situations of the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The notice clearly reads “…considering the gravity of the present situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been decided by the Board to extend the last date of submission of online application form…”.
Aspirants of the ASRB/ICAR NET or ARS are advised to visit the official website and complete their online application process before the last date. The ICAR NET 2021 and the Prelims of the ARS 2021 are scheduled to be held from June 21 to 27, 2021. Applications can be submitted online at the official website asrb.org.in only.
The application fee charged for ASRB/ICAR NET 2021 exam is Rs 1000 for Unreserved candidates. On the other hand, candidates belonging to OBC/EWS categories have to pay Rs 500 in order to apply. Relaxations on the application fee are applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST , Physically Disabled and all female candidates. Such candidates have to pay only Rs 250 for the ASRB NET/ICAR NET 2021 exam.
In case of ARS 2021, the application fee amount for all candidates belonging to Unreserved category is Rs 500. It may be noted that candidates belonging to OBC category are not provided any relaxation on the application fee in ARS 2021. OBC candidates have to pay Rs 500 like all Unreserved candidates. However candidates belonging to SC/ST and Divyang categories as well as all female candidates are completely exempted from the payment of any application fee.
