Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has extended the registration process for the HP Teacher’s Eligibility Test (HPTET) 2021 till June 21, 2021. Subsequently, the correction window for correcting the particulars in the online application form shall begin from June 22, 2021. This facility shall remain open for all registered candidates till June 24, 2021, up to 11:59 pm. The eligibility test is scheduled from July 09 to 12, 2021, and admit cards for the same shall be released four days prior to the exam i.e., July 05, 2021.
HPBOSE began the TET 2021 registration process on May 24, 2021, which continued till June 13, 2021, up to 11:59 pm without any late fee. However, candidates could still register for the eligibility test from June 14 to 21, 2021, up to 11:59 pm by paying late fee charges of Rs.300 along with the application fee. Thereafter, the correction window shall open for three days for candidates to make any necessary changes in their online application form. Beyond this, no further correction requests shall be entertained.
HP TET 2021 examination is scheduled on July 09, 10, 11 and 12, 2021. Two shifts shall be held on each day – first shift from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and second shift from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Candidates shall be assigned the exam date and time depending on the post for which they are applying. This eligibility test is being conducted for various categories – J.B.T., Shastri, TGT (Non-medical), Language Teacher, TGT (Arts), TGT (medical), Punjabi, and Urdu.
As per the information brochure, the admit cards for the eligibility test shall be issued on the official website hpbose.org 04 days prior to the exam commencement. Hence, the tentative date for the release of admit cards is July 05, 2021. Once the admit cards are released, candidates can download the same from the website by entering their application number and date of birth. Hence, it’s very important for aspirants to remember their application/registration number. They are advised to note it down in their diary or book for future reference.
HP TET 2021 examination shall be conducted for a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes, through the OMR-based pen-and-paper format. The question paper shall contain 150 multiple-choice or objective questions, each question being allotted 1 mark. No marks shall be deducted in case of wrong/unanswered questions. To mark their answers in the OMR sheet, candidates shall be made to use a black or blue ballpoint pen. Thus, candidates will have no option of changing the answers once the OMR sheet is marked. Therefore, they must take utmost care and patience while marking their answers.
The eligibility test is a state-level examination conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE). The test is conducted every year to determine the eligibility of candidates to work as teachers for various subjects within the state.
