Himachal Pradesh Police has today, September 11, 2021, released the HP Police Constable 2021 recruitment notification on the official website citizenportal.hppolice.gov.in. According to the notification, a total of 1334 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. Interested candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can apply for the recruitment process from October 01, 2021, 8:00 am. Registration process will continue till October 31, 2021, giving candidates a month’s time to complete the application formalities. While waiting for the application process to begin, candidates are advised to go through the detailed official notification uploaded on the official portal. For their convenience, here are all the key points to note –
HP Police Department is conducting this recruitment drive to fill a total of 1334 vacancies under the Police Constable post. To apply for this post, candidates must be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 25 years of age. However, certain age relaxations will be applicable in case of reserved categories.
Apart from age-related expectations, there are certain education prerequisites which a candidate must fulfil. The most important requirement is for the applicant to have passed Class 12 or any other equivalent exam from a government-recognised education board. This requirement is applicable for all categories, irrespective of whether they have reservation or not.
The HP Police Constable 2021 recruitment drive is an elaborate process comprising of various stages. These include –
# Physical Standards Test (PST)
# Physical Efficiency Test (PET) comprising of 1500m race for men and 800m race for women, high jump and broad jump
#Written Examination
#Personality Test
#Medical Examination
Candidates are required to qualify both PET and PST to be shortlisted for the HP Police Constable Recruitment 2021 written examination. After the two tests, authorities will be releasing a “basic list” which will carry the name, allotted registration number and marks scored in PST for all shortlisted candidates. Thereafter, selected aspirants will be required to appear for the written exam j the date, time and venue appointed by the HP Police Department.
The HP Police Recruitment 2021 written exam will be held for a duration of 60 minutes for a maximum of 80 marks. The question paper shall contain objective-type questions covering subjects like – 1. English Language, 2. Hindi Language, 3. General Awareness, 4. Maths & Science and 5. Reasoning Aptitude. Each section will cover 16 questions amounting to a total of 80 questions. Candidates are expected to score a minimum if 50% marks in the written exam to be deemed eligible for the next stage. Of course, relaxations will be applicable for reserved categories.
