The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Agricultural Engineering (AG), 2022 exam was conducted today, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. It is expected that the conducting body, IIT Kharagpur, will release the provisional answer keys in the third week of February. Until the official answer keys are out, candidates can check the unofficial answer keys released by the online coaching institutes and YouTube channels. Candidates will get a rough idea of their score, however, there might be changes.
GATE 2022 AG Answer Key with Solutions
After the exam concluded, candidates expressed that the exam was fairly difficult. It was reported that the questions were conceptual and tested one’s practical understanding of the science behind agricultural practices. Most questions were from Soil and Water Engineering, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering and Food Engineering, in no particular order.

Question Paper Pattern
The Agricultural Engineering (AG) paper comprises the General Aptitude (GA) and AG subject paper sections. The GA section consists of 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks. The AG subject section contains 55 questions, with a total of 85 marks. The question paper consists of 3 types of questions- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT). 1 mark MCQs carry a negative marking of 1/3 and 2 mark MCQs have a negative marking of 2/3, whereas MSQs and NAT questions do not have any negative marking. The exam was conducted for a total duration of 3 hours.
