How To Prepare For GATE 2019 In The Last 1 Month
To be straightforward and sugar coating, GATE is a tough nut to crack. GATE is a national level entrance exam for admission in M.Tech courses in the IITs. In addition to that, many PSUs also recruit on the basis of GATE score.
The average number of candidates appearing in GATE is 9.2 lakhs, for the past 3 years. However, the pass percentage remains 15% to 17%. This almost paints a very clear picture that GATE 2019 requires consistent hard work. One can just utilise the last one month to revise and take mock tests to keep their memory fresh.

In the last 1 month, here are a few strategies one can apply to give their GATE 2019 preparations an extra edge:
Revise Your Notes: If you have you own hand made notes, make sure you are revising them on a regular basis. Even if you don’t have your own handmade notes, make sure you note down the important points in your notebook and keep revising them. These notes may include important formulas, concepts, some important questions or points to remember.
Take Mock Test: Aspirants must make a habit to attempt at least 2 mock test in a day. Mock tests contain the exact exam pattern and must be completed in a restricted time as followed on the exam day. Thus, taking mock tests will help in strategising time on the exam day.
Work on increasing your speed and accuracy: Speed and Accuracy are the key factors when it comes in cracking any national level entrance exam. Thus, candidates must work on these 2 factors in their last leg of revision. Speed and Accuracy can be only achieved by practice. Thus, candidates must concentrate on practising as many questions possible in the last 1 month.
Practice from last years’ question papers: Gather all the last years’ GATE question papers and try solving at least 3 a day. The previous years’ question papers will help you get familiar with the trends of questions asked, difficulty level and will help you become friendly with the exam pattern.
Earlier on December 26, 2018, IIT Madras has released the GATE 2019 exam schedule.
