DMER Haryana Cancels NEET 2018 Counselling Held In July; Merit List On 22 August

Haryana MBBS/ BDS Counselling 2018

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Haryana has canceled the first round of counseling which was held on July 03. A notification has been published online on the official website. As per the notification, the state government will now be conducting a fresh round of centralised counselling for admission to MBBS / BDS courses. A fresh schedule for NEET UG Haryana counselling 2018 has been published.

The candidates are selected for admission for the academic session 2018-19 on the basis of their merit in the entrance examination, i.e. NEET 2018. A new merit list will be published online at uhsugadmissions.in.

The decision to scrap the counseling held earlier on July 03 has been taken by the high court of punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh. Many students filed a petition against reservation rules for admission under BC-A and BC-B category. Now, as per the court orders, there is reservation for candidates of BCA and BCB category with gross annual income upto 6 lakh with no further sub classification ie upto 3 lakhs and 3 to 6 lakhs.

The first round of counseling for Haryana neet 2018 will now be held on August 23, 2018 (for govt. Medical/dental college) and August 24, 2018 (for pvt. Medical/dental colleges).

The candidates need not require to register online and they cannot submit option of choice or course. As per the notification, Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, will now just be publishing the merit list. Those whose name will be included in the merit list will then be eligible to appear for the counselling.

There will be three rounds of counseling and the selected candidates must report at the allotted college as per the new schedule. At the time of counseling, the candidates need to report along with the necessary documents in proof of their date of birth, category, academic qualification, etc.

The number of seats in govt/ govt aided medical/ dental institutions are 200 in PGIMS Rohtak, 100 in BPS Khanpur, 100 in SHK Mehwati govt medical college Karnal, 100 in ESIC Faridabad, 50 in MAMC Agroha, and 50 number of seats in PGIDS Rohtak.

There are a total of 250 number of seats for MBBS course in private medical college and 800 number of seats in bds course in private dental college.
