In the latest news, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has scrapped the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) to take place in online mode. Now, the old system has been reverted to conduct exam in offline mode. In addition to that, the test will be held once a year only. With the confirmation by the National Testing Agency (NTA), NEET will conduct according to old scheme only.
Until now Central Board of Central Education used to conduct NEET. So, the only change this year is that NTA will organize the examination all over India. Otherwise, there is no variation in the exam pattern of the test.
The NEET 2019 is offline examination which conducts at the national level for medical and dental admissions. There is no attempt limit in the exam. Though there are age criteria that a candidate must satisfy. For now, there has been court case going on regarding the age limit for NEET exam. As of now, 17 is the minimum age and 25 is maximum for unreserved category. Whereas there is a relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, PH candidates.

Students Reaction with NEET Twice A Year in Online Mode: A Mixed Bag.
Previously, it was announced that NEET will conduct twice a year in online mode. This change saw mixed reactions among students. Some students considered it an opportunity to take two attempts in a year. Moreover, conducting an online test would bring parity in the difficulty level of the exam. Moreover, an online test would bring a fair system of conducting the exam.
Whereas some students criticized the move, considering the rural students. Such aspirants would have suffered due to the sudden change in the exam pattern. Conducting the exam in online mode would have then made the exam preparation harder as these candidates do not have access to computer facilities in nearby areas.
Students Reaction with NEET Once A Year in Offline Mode: Also Mixed Reactions.
For now, the problem has been solved for rural candidates but it is yet to be seen how other candidates are viewing this situation. As there were many who were supporting the online and twice in a year system. Though it is unlikely that there will be further change in the pattern as NEET 2019 date has been confirmed to take place May 05, 2019.
Previously, in discussion forums, people were saying to wait for one year and let NEET 2019 to conduct according to old pattern only. So, we can expect that a news may release regarding NEET 2020 exam pattern clarification. Moreover, how much the system will run successfully will be seen when JEE Main 2019 will conduct two times from the next year.
