CTET 2021 Correction Window

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to begin the correction facility for the CTET 2021 examination today, on October 28, 2021. Candidates who have registered for the eligibility test can make corrections in the application form, starting today. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021 is going to be conducted from December 16, 2021, to January 13, 2021, across the country.

While exact timing for opening of facility is not known, one thing is fot sure – the CTET 2021 correction window will be made available on the official website ctet.nic.in. Here is all the information a candidate needs to know.

Candidates will be able to make corrections in their particulars on or before November 03, 2021. Previously, this was facility was scheduled to take place from October 22, to 28, 2021.

There will either be a separate link for CTET form correction 2021, or the existing login link at ctet.nic.in will be used. Candidates can in fact login at this very moment and see if they are able to edit the form. In order to login, one has to enter application form number, password. The forgot password, application number links are also on the login page, for those who have misplaced either.

Details that can be edited during correction

More or less almost all details in the form can be corrected. The information brochure says that candidates can correct their name,
father and mother name, date of birth, category, differently abled category, Paper opted (i.e.Paper I or Paper II), Subject for Paper II, first choice of centre, language I and/or II opted, address of correspondence and the name of the institution from where he/she has obtained his/her post-schooling education.

All candidates are advised to use this correction facility with utmost care and caution, especially if they wish to change their exam centre. After the last date, the central education board will not be accepting any more correction requests. With almost 6 days allotted for the correction facility, candidates have enough time to check and rectify details such as name, category, disability status, exam city, etc.

Recently, CBSE issued a public notice announcing that a new exam city has been added to the list of CTET 2021 exam cities. This new exam city is Leh, situated in the newly-formed Union Territory of Ladakh. In order to allow candidates to chose this city, registration was extended to October 25, 2021.

Additionally, the eligibility criteria was updated to include post-graduate students with a minimum of 55% marks in their respective degree of 5-year integrated course. So, such candidates could also also use the extension in registration deadline to apply for the CTET 2021 examination.

The CTET 2021 examination is going to begin from December 2021, through the computer-based format. Admit cards for the same are expected to release from the first week of December 2021. Once released, registered candidates will be able to download their hall tickets from the official portal. But now, their topmost concern is to correct their application form, change their exam city, etc, if required.
