The minimum qualifying mark for unreserved category candidates is 60% (90 marks), while the cut-off marks for reserved category candidates is 55% (82 marks). Out of a total of around 27.73 lakh candidates who had appeared for the exam, almost 6.65 lakh candidates have qualified the exam. These candidates will be awarded an eligibility certificate by the CBSE, which they will soon be able to download from their DigiLocker account. Using this certificate, they can apply for the post of teachers at various schools. The CTET eligibility certificate has a lifetime validity.
CTET normalisation
According to the CBSE, since the CTET exam was conducted in multiple shifts, over a period of 1 month, a normalisation procedure was followed while preparing the results. The normalisation is usually done to ensure the fair and just conduct of the exam.
