The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has activated the correction link for removing image discrepancy for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test or CTET 2021. The link was activated on October 28, 2021, and is still functioning. Despite this, candidates seem to be in worry over the last date for image correction.

As per the official website ctet.nic.in, there is no mentioning of the last date for image correction. However, the link has been functioning for quite some time and it will soon be closed. In the meantime, candidates who are yet to remove any image discrepancy should do so at the earliest. Sources say that this facility to make corrections in the image can be accessed by candidates who have uploaded a blurred image, old image, image with incorrect dimensions, etc.

To know how to remove image discrepancy, take a look at the steps given below.

Step 1- Visit the official CTET 2021 website – ctet.nic.in

Step 2- Scroll down the page and click on the ‘Remove Image Discrepancy Link – CTET December 2021’ link

Step 3- Enter application number, password, and the displayed security pin to sign in

Step 4- Now, scroll down the page and click on ‘Remove Image Discrepancy’

Step 5- A new page will open specifying whether the signature or the photograph of the candidate requires correction

Step 6- Click on ‘Edit Signature’ or ‘Edit Photograph’ depending on which one of the two needs changes

Step 7- Choose the new file and click on ‘Preview’

Step 8- Select the checkbox and click on the ‘Upload’ button

The scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format. The photograph should be the latest and must be between 10 KB to 100 KB with a dimension of 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Similarly, the file size of the signature should be greater than 3KB and less than 30KB with a dimension of 3.5 cm (length) x 4.5 cm (height). In case the file fails to meet the specifications, then it will not be uploaded.

It is important to note that the facility to make corrections in the images cannot be accessed by all applicants. This will be available only to those candidates whose uploaded images require changes as decided by the concerned authorities. Hence, there could be instances that even after signing in, some candidates will not find the option to remove image discrepancy in their CTET 2021 applications. This means that their uploaded images are alright.

On the other hand, it might so happen that only the photograph or signature of the candidate requires changes and not both the same together. In that case, the page will display the appropriate message, and a ‘No action required’ text will be mentioned below the image that does not require any change.

Candidates can use MS Paint or Adobe Photoshop to resize the image. Additionally, they can also use one of the below given online resizing tools for further efficiency:
