Yet another session of the CTET 2021 examination was conducted today, December 27, 2021, by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021 Paper 1 (Shift 1) was conducted for a duration of 2.5 hours, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. The exam was entirely objective-based, testing a candidate’s knowledge in 5 major subjects. Those who are interested in teaching Classes 1-5 were expected to appear for Shift 1. So far the cut-offs are concerned, for the unreserved category, the minimum mark required for qualification is 60% (90 out of 150). The minimum mark for qualification for the reserved category is 55% (85 out of 150). Candidates can match their answers with the key to get an estimated assessment of their exam.
Candidates who appeared for the exam expressed the overall difficulty of the paper to be moderate. When compared to previous years’ questions, the question paper of CTET 2021 were comparatively easy. Although some of the questions were twisted, they were doable. On the other hand, it has been reported that since the number of applicants have increased this year, the overall difficulty of the paper has leveled up.

Although these are unofficial, the answer keys and question paper discussions can help candidates get an idea of their overall performance. They can further use them to calculate a tentative score. In these videos, the instructors are not only answering questions but also providing an overall analysis of the paper. Since the eligibility test is going to continue till January 13, 2022, understanding the level of questions being asked in each paper proves useful. So, a candidate who is appearing for CTET tomorrow might get an idea about what to study for the exam.
While watching the CTET 2021 December 27 Paper 1 video solution, candidates are advised to keep a notebook and pen handy. So that while watching the video, they can write down the answers to all questions. Later on, using this answer key, they can determine the tentative marks obtained in today’s paper. The official answer key will be uploaded on the official website ctet.nic.in by January and the final result will be announced on February 15, 2022. So far the marking scheme is concerned, each correct answer will gain the candidate a mark. There is no provision for negative marking for a wrong answer.
