Yet another session of the CTET 2021 examination was conducted today, December 27, 2021, by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021 Paper 1 (Shift 1)  was conducted for a duration of 2.5 hours, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. The exam was entirely objective-based, testing a candidate’s knowledge in 5 major subjects. Those who are interested in teaching Classes 1-5 were expected to appear for Shift 1. So far the cut-offs are concerned, for the unreserved category, the minimum mark required for qualification is 60% (90 out of 150). The minimum mark for qualification for the reserved category is 55% (85 out of 150). Candidates can match their answers with the key to get an estimated assessment of their exam.

Candidates who appeared for the exam expressed the overall difficulty of the paper to be moderate. When compared to previous years’ questions, the question paper of CTET 2021 were comparatively easy. Although some of the questions were twisted, they were doable. On the other hand, it has been reported that since the number of applicants have increased this year, the overall difficulty of the paper has leveled up.
