CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum is all set to conduct Skype interviews for selection of candidates to fill up 46 contractual vacancies

The CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum has published an official recruitment notification to fill up 46 vacant posts. The vacancies are for Senior Project Associate (Sr.PA), Project Associate-I (PA-I), and Laboratory Assistant (LA) posts. The detailed recruitment notice (Advt No. 03/2020) is available at the official website of the Institute i.e. iip.res.in. Eligible and interested candidates can go through the advertisement to know about the recruitment terms and conditions in addition to other details before applying online. The online application process is commencing on July 15, 2020, while the last date of receipt of online applications is July 24, 2020.

The selection of eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of online interviews. Post selection, candidates are to be appointed at the specified monthly stipend for a period of six months/one year depending on project requirements. In any case, the period of contractual appointment cannot exceed 5 years. After the appointment, Post Codes-1 to 5 are entitled to receive a salary of Rs 31000 plus HRA. Those who are appointed at Post Codes-6 to 8 are entitled to receive a monthly payment of Rs 42000 plus HRA. Candidates appointed at the post of Lab Technician (Post Code-9) are entitled to receive a monthly stipend of Rs 20000 plus HRA. Such candidates are also entitled to a 15% increment for 3 years of experience with the maximum ceiling of increment fixed 12 years.

The advertised vacancies are for multiple Project Associate posts classified separately under different postcodes and for the post of Laboratory Assistant. For Post Code-1 (PA-I), candidates must have an M.Sc. degree in Chemistry. In order to apply for Post Code-2 (PA-I), candidates must have a B.E/B. Tech degree in Chemical Engineering. For Post Code-3 (PA-I), candidates must have a B.E/B. Tech degree in Petroleum Engineering. Those applying for Post Code-4 (PA-I), must have a B.E./B. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering. Applicants for Post Code-5 (PA-I) must have an M.Sc. in BioTechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry) or B. Tech in Biotechnology/Industrial Microbiology).

For Post Code-6 (Sr. PA), applicants must have a Ph. D in Biochemical Engineering/Biotechnology/Life Science/Microbiology. For Post Code-7 (Sr. PA), candidates must have a Ph. D in Chemical Engineering. For Post Code-8 (Sr. PA), candidates must have Ph. D in Chemistry. Post-Code-9 (LA) is for the post of Laboratory Assistant. In order to apply for this post, candidates need a B.Sc. degree or 3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology. In addition to the aforementioned minimum eligibility conditions, candidates are also expected to possess other desirable skills or experience indicated against each individual post. Furthermore, all candidates must be within the upper age limit of 35 years for Post Codes 1 to 5. To apply for Post Codes 6 to 8, applicants must be within the maximum age of 40 years. For the post of Laboratory Assistant, candidates must be within the maximum age of 50 years.

Eligible candidates are to be selected through online interviews that are deemed to be conducted over Skype platform. However, candidates are required to apply online through the aforementioned official website only. At the end of the application form, candidates must mention their Skype id in the designated space for Remarks. Scanned copies of specified documents must be uploaded along with the application form. Applicants are advised to regularly visit the website of the Institute to get the latest updates and information about the date and time of conducting the Skype interviews.
