The Department of Higher Education, Odisha is going to conduct the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) 2021 this year from August 23 to September 01, 2021, as per latest reports. Odisha based media house OTV News has posted on microblogging site Twitter about the upcoming exam dates while mentioning the Odisha Higher Education Department in their post. The exam is conducted in the state for admission to Post Graduate courses in the state universities and autonomous colleges of Odisha.
The latest tweet by OTV News reads “Common PG Entrance for 2021 from Aug 23 till Sept 1”. As per reports, the state level exam was conducted in October last year while the results were released in November. The tweet also mentions that PG Common admissions will commence from October 15, 2021. Furthermore, the semester exams of all Undergraduate courses will be completed by August 19, 2021, and the results for the same will be declared by September 27, 2021, as per the latest tweet by OTV News (check screenshot below).

Candidates intending for admission to PG courses in the current academic session in Odisha Universities and colleges have to qualify through the CPET 2021 exam. Admission to the available seats across disciplines such as Science, Arts, Humanities, Commerce will be conducted on the basis of the CPET exam. The official notification/common prospectus of the exam releases online on the website samsodisha.gov.in as per schedule. Aspiring candidates are advised to remain vigilant on the official website for updates regarding the exam.
With the UG semester exams 2021 in Odisha (including back papers) to be completed by August 19, 2021, and the results to be declared by September 27, 2021, aspiring candidates can expect the CPET 2021 application form to release anytime during the last week of September 2021 to the first week of August 2021. Besides, as per reports, the current session’s PG final semester exams are scheduled to be over by August 31, 2021, and the results of the PG final semester exams 2021 are to be declared by September 20, 2021.
Updated details of the scheme and pattern of the Odisha CPET 2021 exams are expected to be announced on the SAMS Odisha website very soon. As per reports, the exam is conducted as an offline test in physical centres throughout Odisha. The question paper reportedly consists of Multiple Choice Questions only and candidates are allowed duration of 90 minutes to complete the test. There are 70 questions in the exam each carrying 01 marks and there is no negative marking in the exam.
