The Consortium of Law Universities (CLU), New Delhi will release the merit list of the CLAT 2021 exam for UG and PG programs on July 29, 2021. CLU has already released the CLAT 2021 result by releasing an official notification on its website consortiumofnlus.ac.in. CLU will release the merit list in the form of a pdf on its official website. From the merit list, candidates will get an idea regarding their All India Rank in CLAT 2021 exam.
CLU will release the consolidated merit list first. As per the previous year, this year’s consolidated list will consist of the All India Rank, CLAT 2021 admit card number, and total marks obtained by candidates in CLAT 2021. As per this list, seats will be allotted to the candidates. Higher preference will be given to the candidates who have higher marks and All India Rank in CLAT 2021.
After the release of the consolidated merit list CLAT 2021 exam, the organizing body will conduct the counselling rounds. There will be three rounds in the CLAT 2021 counselling process. The counselling process will start on July 29, 2021, it is expected that the candidates 5 times more than the number of available seats, will be called for it. Last year, initially it was decided that only 3 times more candidates of the available seats would be called for counselling but later it was changed to 5. Candidates have to register for the counselling process through their login on consortiumofnlus.ac.in website. The last date of counselling registration is July 30, 2021, till noon.
NLU will release the seat allotment of the 1st round on August 01, 2021, whereas the seat allotment of the 2nd and 3rd rounds will be announced on August 09, and August 13, 2021. While announcing the seat allotment, NLU will release the provisional merit list separately for all the participating institutes. The provisional merit list will contain the names of candidates who get selected for a particular institute. As per this list, the candidates whose name is there will have to accept the seat by paying Rs. 50,000 as a seat acceptance fee. If candidates fail to pay the fees for blocking the seat then their seat might get cancelled.
After the completion of the online counselling process, candidates have to report to their allotted institute for completing the remaining admission process. While reporting to the allotted institutes, candidates are advised to bring the original copies of all valid documents. After the payment of the balance fee, the candidates’ admission will be finalized.
