Institute of Eminence VIT AP Donates 50 Lakh to AP CM Relief Fund

Dr. G. Viswanathan, VIT Founder Chancellor, has donated the amount to help Andhra Pradesh Government tackle COVID-19 in the state.

VIT Founder Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan met with Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and handed over Rs.50,00,000/- Demand Draft towards AP CHIEF MINISTER’s RELIEF FUND in order to support the efforts of the Andhra Pradesh Government in the fight against Covid. Initially, VIT-AP donated 25 lakhs on 30th March 2020 into the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in Andhra Pradesh.

Dr. G. Viswanathan informed Chief Minister that VIT University is recognised by the Govt. of India as Institute of Eminence and informed the progress of VIT-AP University. The VIT-AP campus, which is poised to become one of the country’s best campuses, offers several avenues to explore your interests, identify core competencies, and engage in an evolving lifecycle of education and growth. He told that from the academic year 2021-’22 we have announced GV Scholarship and Rajeswari Merit scholarships of 50% -100% scholarships to district toppers and State toppers aimed at supporting candidates enrolling Non –engineering programmes.

Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhrapradesh lauded the efforts of VIT-AP Management, Faculty and staff in bringing glory with the success in making Amaravati as education hub as he desired.

Dr. SV Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor told that VIT-AP University is offering Under Graduate programmes in B. Tech CSE, ECE, Mech, BBA with specialisations in Digital Marketing, Fintech, Business Analytics Post Graduate programmes in, M. Tech CSE, M. Tech(VLSI) M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Data Science, BA-M. A Public Service, B.Sc.-M.Sc. Data science Dual Degree and BA. LLB and BBA. LLB, M. Tech Software Engineering Integrated programmes through seven different schools. Those are School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCOPE), School of Electronics Engineering (SENSE), School of Mechanical Engineering (SMEC), School of Advanced Sciences (SAS), VIT-AP School of Business (VSB), VIT-AP School of Law (VSL), VIT-AP School of Social Sciences and Humanities (VISH).

Dr. Sekar Viswanathan, Vice President, VIT said that the VIT AP campus is with 4728 students from 27 states and 6 countries along with good infrastructure also have 72 student-operated clubs and chapters. No. of 14 MoU’s signed with industry partners to enrich student skills with certification, Signed MoU’s with 18 Partner universities from the USA, UK, Australia and Europe Through these tie-ups with several reputed universities abroad, avenues are created for faculty exchange, Semester Abroad Programme (SAP) –Final project with scholarship, International Transfer Programme- 2 yrs. at VIT-AP and 2 yrs. Abroad, Joint Research, Joint Curriculum Development. VIT-AP has fabulous placements with 559 total offers, 243 super dream and dream offers with an average salary of 6.28 lakhs.
