CSIR Central Electro Chemical Research Institute is inviting suitably qualified candidates for engagement as Trade and Technician apprentices under provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961. The Institute in Tamil Nadu has published a detailed advertisement in this regard at the website cecri.res.in. As per the advertisement, 53 vacancies for ITI and Diploma apprentices are available on a monthly stipend basis. Eligible aspirants can apply on the prescribed proforma before 05.30 PM on December 31, 2020.
CECRI Apprentice Recruitment 2020 Post Details
There are 36 vacancies available for Trade (ITI) apprentice training in various trades. The available trades are for Fitter, Machinist, Welder, Electrician, Wireman, Electronics Mechanic, Refrigeration & AC Mechanic, Draughtsman (Civil), PASAA and Carpenter. In addition, 05 additional vacancies in this category are to be filled up from any of the trades.
For Technician (Diploma) apprentice posts, there are 12 vacancies available. The vacancies are available in the branches of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics and Electronics & Communication Engineering.
CECRI Recruitment 2020 For 53 Apprentices Detailed Advertisement
The complete vacancy bifurcation information as per trade and as per various constitutional categories are available in the detailed advertisement. Candidates may note that a monthly stipend of Rs 7574 is to be paid to the candidates appointed to the post. The period of engagement is 1 year. However, for the post of Carpenter, the monthly stipend is Rs 6732 for the first year and Rs 7574 for the second year as the training period is 2 years for this particular post.
Eligibility Criteria for CECRI Apprentice Recruitment 2020
For Trade (ITI) apprenticeship, candidates who have a relevant ITI Trade certificate from a NCVT recognized Institute are eligible to apply. Similarly, candidates holding a Diploma in Engineering qualification from from s State Council or Board of Technical Education are eligible to apply.
Applicants must be at least 14 years of age in order to apply. For SC/ST, OBC and PwD candidates, relaxations on the upper age limit are applicable as per government norms in vogue. It may be noted that candidates with one year or more of previous experience are not eligible to apply. Similarly, only those candidates who passed their Diploma in or after April 2018 are eligible to apply for this recruitment.
Selection Process of CECRI Apprentice Recruitment 2020
The Institute is going to conduct virtual interviews online for selection of shortlisted applicants. The interviews are to be held through Google Meet only. Hence, candidates must have a Gmail ID to participate.
Google Meet code is to be sent to the applicants 10 minutes before the interview on the respective Gmail ID. No request for re-scheduling of the interviews are to be entertained. In case of a large number of applicants, the Institute may adopt shortlisting criteria for selection of candidates to conduct the online interview.
