Indian Post has announced the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sewak for Gujarat circle. For this, the conducting body has also released an official notification online at appost.in. As per the notification, India Post has advertised a total 1826 vacancies for the Gramin Dak Sewak recruitment. Aspirants interested in the recruitment can submit their applications for the said posts on or before January 20, 2021.
To apply for the Gujarat circle recruitment, candidates must have passed 10th class. They must have secured passing marks in Mathematics, Local language and English. They must have studied local language at least up to 10th class as a compulsory or elective subject. The minimum and maximum age limit of the candidate is another eligibility criterion that aspirants need to take care of. They have to ensure that they have attained the minimum age limit of 18 years and not exceed 40 years as on December 21, 2020. Up to 05 years age is relaxable for SC/ ST, 03 years for OBC, 10 years for PwD, 13 years for PwD + OBC and 15 years for PwD + SC/ST. However, no relaxation on upper age is available for Economically Weaker Section category candidates.
Candidates who are eligible can submit their applications online through appost.in website. They first have to register themselves online and obtain a unique registration number. Once done, they can then proceed to pay the required application fee. Thereafter, applicants can submit their Gujarat cycle application form. While applying, they have to submit their preference for the post. Also, take a preview of the application form before the final submission.
Applicants can pay the application fee via online or offline mode. Offline payments can be made at any Head post office. Those who belong to the UR/OBC/EWS Male/Trans-man category have to make a payment of Rs. 100/-. All female/trans-woman candidates, all SC/ST candidates and all PwD are exempted from the fee submission round. In case, candidates do not receive online payment confirmation, they are suggested to wait up to 72 hours.
The selection for India Post Gujarat circle is based on the merit list. This is prepared based on the online applications submitted by candidates. The conducting body prepares the merit list based on marks obtained in 10th class only. In case, same marks are secured by applicants then the merit is decided by date of birth and category. Applicants can check the final merit list online once out at the official website.
